Emielke

Emielke is one of Cape Town's most committed and enthusiastic young photographers. Her style is understated and simple, but her work ethic is dedicated and professional.

Emielke started her career by studying for a BA Fine Arts (Information Design) Degree at the University of Pretoria. Always having a passion for photography, she then also completed a Diploma at the National College of Photography and did an internship with The Pretoria News.

In June 2003, Emielke joined The Pixel Foundry as an assistant and has had the privilege of working with some of SA's top commercial photographers. During this period she committed much of her time to working with, and understanding, the digital workflow process.

In April 2005 Emielke became an independent photographer affiliated to The Pixel Foundry. In the same year she completed a Magazine Journalism course at Cape Town's City Varsity.
